Watch the Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio Shooting Trial — FL v. Alicia Andrews

The murder trial of Alicia Andrews of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio is now underway in a Tampa courtroom.

According to prosecutors that Andrews acted as a lookout while Charles Jones was in Tampa for his birthday. They claim she kept tabs with others who later ambushed the rapper in a Tampa hotel lot.

Three gunmen allegedly opened fire, fatally shooting the rapper and injuring three others.

Andrews is charged with first-degree murder and planning a murder.

Investigators have presented forensic phone records that they say show her role in the planning. This includes Instagram messages and photos recovered from her iCloud.

Her defense attorney argues that she didn’t know what the others intended to do. Her team insists she was not involved in any plot.

This trial is being covered closely by the media because the killing is linked to gang tensions.

Day 6 of the trial has focused on police testimony, with Alicia Andrews trial detectives explaining how they tracked cell phone activity across Florida.
